Residential External Refurbishment

External refurbishment of detached residential house
Defect analysis and sympathetic
upgrading of period property

COMMISSION:

An interesting small scheme undertaken for a private client. The property had been refurbished internally in the past 7 years but on the exterior it only had patch repairs undertaken to the rough cast render which was deteriorating.

We were asked to procure an economic scheme to improve the visual appearance of the building, reduce future maintenance and potential for damp ingress and other defects.

WORKS:

After analysis, the following works were undertaken:

  • Specialist Polymer render system
  • Repairs to underlying brickwork
  • Renewal of main fascias in PVC
  • External redecoration
  • Part upgrading and thermal insulation to studded external walls
ACHIEVEMENTS:

Tailored services we met the clients brief. The building has much improved external appearance with a modern high quality pre coloured render finish bringing the building back to life.

We maintained tight cost control individually appointing sub contractors as Project Managers of the scheme and delivered a high quality product on a very tight budget.
